Even the 1840’s bottles of Veuve Clicquot found recently in the Aland Islands had 150 grams per litre of sugar. Historically in Russia, consumers would add sugar to their champagne, thus adding a personal touch to their wine. Today Veuve Clicquot propels this tradition into the contemporary era with Rich Rose, a champagne created expressly by Veuve Clicquot’s wine team, through its dosage expertise, for mixology.

Veuve Clicquot Rich Rose was created expressly to combine with a selection of ingredients that bring out the Clicquologist-in anyone. Mixologists selected the ingredients that will add a unique twist to Veueve Clicquot wine, supported by Dominique Demarville. The signature notes of the wine are magnified by the presence of the possibility to create one’s own tasting experience, Veuve Clicquot Rich Rose Champagne is an exciting way to embody the So Clicquot twist.

Dominique Demarville states that “sugar in champagne is like spices in a recipe, used correctly it can bring out specific aromas and play with taste”.

Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot, the house was later taken over by his widow Madame Clicquot at the age of 27 in 1810. Through determination, intuition and acumen Madame Clicquot not only created the first recorded vintage in the champagne region but built up the Veuve Clicquot property to make it one of the foremost vineyards in all of Champagne.

Produced in Champagne, a small wine producing region in the northeast of France. Maison Veuve Clicquot is located in Reims, the largest city in the Champagne province.
